1. What is digital photo editing?
Digital photo editing is a means for modifying a photograph to look the way you
want. It involves the use of specialized software to make changes to the photo.
Virtually anything that can be imagined, can be done. For most photos, simple
touchups are all that's needed - cropping, removing red-eye, straightening and adjusting
the lighting. Other photos may require more work, such as removing a person
from the background of your best vacation photo or editing out that pimple that
showed up the night before a wedding.Top
2. What is a Montage?
A photo montage is a technique for creating an image from several other images.
Pieces of each images are cut and assembled to create a montage. This techniques
is especially useful when family photos are taken. It can be extremely difficult
to get children and pets to sit still, and even more difficult to coax smiles and
get everyone looking at the camera. By taking photos of each individual, we
can put a group photo together digitally.Top
3. I don't have a digital camera, but still want my photos touched up.
Can you help?
Yes. We can touch up prints of photos by scanning them first. Scanning
is an extra service we offer, so ask us about pricing. We can also scan in
negatives or slides and produce print quality image files. Finally, if you
have a scanner, you can scan the images and send them to us.Top
4. I have a low quality photo I want enhanced. Can you make it look
good?
We will make every effort to improve the photo. Photo restoration and enhancing
is a process that can take a very poor photo and turn it into a great photo.
Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. If you have a photo that is very
low quality, send it to us and we will let you know what we think we can do and
give you an estimate for the work.Top
5. What do you charge? Do you offer volume discounts?
We offer a Basic Editing service for $1 per photo, and a Premium Editing service
for $2 per photo. Custom projects, such
as panoramic stitching and photo montages will be quoted on a case by case basis,
since the requirements may vary significantly. We do offer volume discounts
on projects with more than 100 photos.Top
6. Your prices are a lot lower than other photo editors. How do you
charge so little?
We started Crop and Color after years of editing photos as a hobby. It's something
we enjoy and excel at. With the skill and proficiency we have gained, we have
become extremely fast in editing photos. We also have very low overhead. The
result is that we can charge much less than the $5, $10 or $20 per photo many companies
charge.Top
